002 – One8Tea
One8Tea (pronounced 180) was born with music flowing in his heart. His grandmother toured Nova Scotia singing A cappella gospel music and his uncle Michael was an award artist who went on to perform only gospel music. Born and raised Halifax, Nova Scotia, One8Tea hit the Hip Hop music scene seriously in 1995 and success was immediate. As he describes it, success was the best thing and the worst thing that could have happened to him. Chasing the dream, however, quickly became a personal nightmare…as a heavy addiction to drugs and a partying lifestyle took control and he began to lose everything including his family. But the story doesn’t stop there.
